What should you actually charge per session?
Most rate advice tells you what other trainers charge. This works backwards from your number instead: the income you actually want to take home, after tax and after what it costs you to run the business. No email required — the answer updates as you type.
Your numbers
Why this isn't the same as "what's the going rate"
A market-rate benchmark tells you what's normal. It doesn't tell you whether normal is enough for you — your expenses, your tax position, how many weeks you actually train clients versus how many you're paid to be "available." Two trainers charging the identical $90/session can be on completely different financial footing once one of them has higher overheads or fewer bookable weeks.
This calculator solves the other direction: start from the number that actually matters — what lands in your account after everything else is paid — and work out the rate that gets you there.
